We all know the legends of the Norse gods and the Vikings that worship them, but what if there’s more to the story than what we’ve been told? What if the hero of a legenderary epic isn’t some brave warrior with a battle axe dripping with the blood of his enemies? What if the ones who save the day are nothing more than what the universe would consider an infinitesimal speck in the cosmos? Well, tiny & Tall: Gleipnir aims to tell the story of two blacksmiths tasked with a quest so important that the fate of the universe (or something) is at stake.

tiny & Tall: Gleipnir

In tiny & Tall: Gleipnir you play as the titular characters as they are asked by the gods to forge a chain that will bind Fenrir, the wolf son of Loki, before it devours everything in its path. No small feat because the items required to make such a magical item aren’t going to be easy to find. “To forge it, they will need the sinews of a bear, the beard of a woman, the sound of a cat’s footfall, the roots of a mountain, the spittle of a bird and the breath of a fish.” Yeah, good luck finding most of the ingredients. Even in an adventure game it’s practically moon logic.

tiny & Tall: Gleipnir

Back in May I had the opportunity to try out an early alpha demo of tiny & Tall: Gleipnir and I gave my initial impressions of it here. I love the look of the duo and the fact that such an important quest has landed in the laps of two colorful (and somewhat crazy) characters make this one worth watching. I know I’m quite interested in seeing where they take this tale that’s both unique and familiar.
