All right, so the main focus of Ultimate Chicken Horse is on the multiplayer. It was, after all, touted as a party game from the beginning. But, they did promise some single player content. I’ll admit that I really liked what they had planned for solo play, which was discussed previously, but now the developers have announced that they’re dropping that feature entirely in order to focus exclusively on the multiplayer content.

Ultimate Chicken Horse

My main problem with this is that single player was promised and it was already being worked on. So, why drop it entirely? According to them, everyone loved Ultimate Chicken Horse‘s competitive co-op angle when they went to PAX Prime so they decided to focus entirely on that. However, if you promise something you should work to include it unless circumstances beyond your control deem it necessary. Like running out of money or losing important people on the team. None of that was even hinted at. Still, they haven’t completely discounted it as a possible future patch.
