I’m a sucker for anything that deals with mythologies and legends from pretty much any culture in the world. I enjoy learning about people through their tales and belief systems. And with Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan we get to see another legend in the making. It is being developed by a group of Cameroonians so it is safe to say that they know what they’re doing, at least storywise. But, the gameplay looks just as fantastic.aurionlegacyofthekoriodan1

In Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan you play as Enzo Kori-Odan and his newly wed wife as they struggle to take down his treacherous brother-in-law who tried to usurp his rule in the land. Along the way you’ll meet and fight plenty of enemies, many of which are plucked straight out of African lore. But the game doesn’t take place on our planet, but rather a place similar with a land full of wonderment and awe.

According to the lore, Auriona is a rich planet covered with six continents, each with its own race and population. What they have in common is a strange form of energy known as “Aurion”, memories and fragments of the past used to fuel what amounts to technology. Devices which can be used both for war and for prosperity. It’s the warmongers that have forced people like Enzo and his ancestors to pick up arms themselves.

Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan is an action RPG full of intense combat as our heroes strive to achieve their goal and, hopefully, find peace in the land as they travel the world seeking what has eluded them thus far. String up combos as your foes fall to the might of your blade, call on the spirits of your ancestors, and take down evil wherever you find it.
