On October 5th, Midora game director Mhyre posted an update on Kickstarter explaining where the team is at with the game. Unfortunately, they aren’t at a good place.

Epic Minds, creators of Midora, are still searching for publishers and investors. This seems to be the main concern from the team, along with their personal image amongst the public. From reading the comments, many of their backers are losing hope, as they have stopped believing in the broken promises that are Midora’s scarce updates.

Many backers were extremely upset to hear that although Midora reached their funding goal a while ago, they still don’t have enough money to produce what they promised, like Early Access. At least not on time. Mhyre claims they underestimated a goal of $60,000, for funding, and in reality, they need $120,000 to $150,000 to finish the game.

Personally, I appreciate them being honest about everything. Humans are human and we make mistakes. At the same time though, I would not want to be one of their backers at this particular time.
