Remember when Black Forest Games got into a legal dispute with fashion label Diesel, forcing them to change the name of their upcoming game, Dieselstörmers? No? Well, it happened. Trust me, I reported on it. Long story short, the co-operative roguelike platform shooter will now be known as ‘Rogue Stormers’.

The new title was chosen to more effectively convey the roguelike nature of the game, whilst simultaneously staying close to the original title so as to avoid confusion. The news was confirmed in a press release that also shed light on a new update to the game, adding new weapons, upgrades, objects, enemies and artwork. Backers will no doubt be pleased to know this show’s back on the road.

Rogue StormersI’m not sure what I think about that name. It makes as much sense as any other videogame title, I guess, though it doesn’t quite roll off the tongue like ‘Dieselstörmers’ did. Nonetheless, Rogue Stormers is set to be released in early 2016. For more on the game, check out our previous coverage, and stay tuned to Cliqist for more.
