The sordid tale of Kickstarter success turned videogame pariah Godus appeared to come to a head this afternoon as famed designer Peter Molyneux announced on Twitter that his controversial god game would be removed from Steam.  Peter also stated that he would be officially retiring from the games industry; ending a 34 year career marked by innovation, commercial success, and a fair amount of controversy.

As you can see in the screenshot above though, the whole affair turned out to be nothing more than a Twitter troll having some fun, or dreaming a little dream.  Guess it depends on how much they sunk into the mess that has become Godus.
