I love adventures and I love adventures that don’t take themselves particularly seriously. Which is why I didn’t hesitate to back Demetrios when it ran on Kickstarter. I even gave the demo a spin to get a feel for how it’ll play. Frankly, I’m not disappointed in the least about my decision to toss money at Fabrice Breton; and based on the latest update I’m hardly the only one as one of the early testers wrote a glaringly positive review. That said, we still don’t have a set release date yet but it won’t be long. Certainly within the next few months.

Demetrios

While I haven’t had the honor to get my hands on an early copy (yet) I really don’t need to in order to know that it was money well spent. And looking at the current progress it won’t be a long wait. The update for Demetrios does cover what’s been done since the last one and what still needs to be done. Aside from translations it’s really just down to polishing and adding finishing touches. Including achievements, both in game and Steam integration. I’ll freely admit that I’m an “achievement whore” and I’ll most certainly be looking to catch ’em all.

As a side note, if you’re a backer and have not sent in your preferred name for the credits now is the time to do so. You should have received a message from Fabrice for this, so check your spam folder and Kickstarter messages so that you can join the elite in having your name immortalized in a game.
