I’ve been a fan of Flash-based adventure games ever since I created a Kongregate account years ago. I’ve played plenty that I’ve really enjoyed, but one that has escaped my notice until now is Arrival in Hell. This short point and click game is little more than a gory “escape the room” title, but its developers are looking to remake and expand it on Kickstarter. And, honestly, it could use a major facelift.

Arrival in Hell

I took the time to play through the original game, and despite its incredibly short length it was still fun. I actually found myself wanting more, something promised in the Arrival in Hell remake. Unfortunately, the graphics are really dated by today’s standard. That said, the story of some strange beast rampaging through a prison did pique my interest.

Arrival in Hell

Arrival in Hell is far from the only Flash game to be remade with some degree of commercial success. It’s also not the only one to get funded on Kickstarter.  From what I’ve seen of the trailer, it does look like a massive improvement, and because of this I’m willing to put a few bucks in to help move it along.

Arrival in Hell

If you’re a fan of horror adventure games, I highly recommend trying out the free game and decide for yourself. You can finish it in around a half hour, but I’m quite certain the re-imagining is going to be much longer and have better puzzles.
