Groovy Milk is not something you want pouring out of the carton late at night. It is however what some Russian game developers decided to call their new studio. Their first game, Creepy Road, is heading to Kickstarter later this month after a successful Steam Greenlight campaign.
A lot of work has already gone into Creepy Road, not to be confused with Allison Road. Not that you would confuse it after looking at screenshots. Creepy Road is far from a horror game. It’s described as a “classic 2D Run & Gun game” with “hand-drawn graphic design.” There’s a definite cartoony, goofy look to it.
The description on the website reads: “The game tells a story of an eccentric driver Flint Trucker. Heading to his native town, where his girlfriend lives, he has a road accident and then finds himself in a forest, amongst mad animals and people. Flint is to find out what goes on and let himself out of this mess.”
Residents of a certain Michigan town can easily tell you what goes on, but I digress. The English isn’t great obviously, but perhaps part of the Kickstarter money (if successful) will go to a proper translation. It’s difficult to tell, as the developers didn’t go into any specifics about the campaign itself.
Other than that, it’s hard to tell exactly what the money will be for, and that is a compliment. The game already appears far along in development, especially with an “early 2016” release date. You can even play an early demo of Creepy Road. You can bet I’ll be taking a look on our Youtube channel later this week.
Update: The Creepy Road Kickstarter campaign has launched!
Reminds me a lot of this game https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/crazymonkeystudios/guns-gore-and-cannoli
Where is the link to the campaign?
Thanks for the callout! It launched yesterday, and I’ve updated the article with a link to the Kickstarter.
