Cel-shaded action RPG Shiness is looking as good as ever in new screenshots released by French developer Ynnis Interactive. As with everything we’ve seen from the game so far, these new screens are bright, colourful, and full of life.
In their latest update the devs delivered four new screenshots with the promise of lots of new content to come. As well as the lovely exteriors we’ve seen before, there’s also a screen from a moody dungeon where two of our heroes are facing off against a huge sickle-wielding skeleton.
Comparisons with Zelda are inevitable but I also get a Xenoblade vibe from the game too. Whenever I see new screens, it makes me want to gather my team of humans and furries and explore every corner of the world. I’m less convinced by what I’ve seen of the combat so far but these screens do a very good job of conveying the movement of the characters so perhaps I’m worrying over nothing.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, they also announced that Shiness will be released some time in 2016. Despite not quite making its console stretch goal. Shiness is coming to PS4, XB1 and Wii U, as well as Windows, Mac and Linux.
