Space based combat has been around for decades and has proven itself to be a popular multiplayer pastime. Between titles like Elite and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter taking down other ships is a fun diversion from other types of action games. And Galaxy Heist takes this approach and beautifully merges it with first-person shooter fun.

Galaxy Heist takes two very different genres and merges them into one two-part grudge match. Each battle starts out with 4-5 players in a large ship taking on other ships with 4-5 players on board. And each match can have several ships in the fight. The aim is to disable each of the enemy’s ships and then board them to either destroy them from within or to commandeer them for their own use.

Galaxy Heist

The second half of the game takes place on board said ships as it’s basically a race to either oust the intruders or to kick the defenders out of their home. And there is plenty that you can do to take it down from within. Shoot out windows to cause massive decompression, blow up doors, and turn the air back on before you suffocate all the while beating the living crap out of everyone you come across. Sounds like fun, no?

Galaxy Heist

Galaxy Heist is all about fast-paced action. In the ship-to-ship battles you can pilot the ship, take control of one of the mounted turrets, or take control of one of the ship’s many drones. And the best part is that the game’s AI will take control of whichever one you aren’t using at the moment. And you can play it either online or offline.

If you’ve ever wanted to live life as a pirate and board ships for fun then Galaxy Heist is for you. And you can customize your character and ships as you see fit.
