I love reading or watching behind-the-scenes stuff about a game I backed on Kickstarter. This is no different with Jack Houston and the Necronauts, a sci-fi adventure game inspired by old school serials. I also loved the idea behind the use of stop motion animation. Between all of the above, I really loved watching the videos Stacy Davidson released since launching the project. However, between moving and other personal issues this series was put on hold. Until now, that is.

As of the latest updates, the first two episodes of the relaunch series is now up on YouTube. You can watch the first one below. I’ve seen both, and I’m happy to say that I’m really liking the way Stacy has been developing Jack Houston and the Necronauts. Sure, it’s been quite a while since the game started development, but at least I know he hasn’t given up on it. And from what I’ve seen, it’s shaping up to be a great addition to my collection.

It would only be understandable that people are getting anxious about the game taking so long to make. However, Stacy has assured backers he’ll cover everything throughout the videos. I’m just glad he hasn’t stopped working on it as I really do want to be able to play Jack Houston and the Necronauts. Even if it takes another four years.

I do look forward to seeing more videos released. From every episode I’ve seen, it’s going to be worth the wait. That Stacy’s painstakingly creating the world from models and clay makes it even more interesting. Here’s hoping that we’ll see Jack Houston and the Necronauts release soon.
