WeekendNews

Welcome back to Cliqist’s Weekenders Sunday News! This week, we’ll be talking about all kinds of things from launches, demos, alphas, and most importantly, a free game you can download right the heck now. In addition to that, we’ll be cutting to the chase a bit more, so you don’t have a daunting wall of text staring you down. So, without further ado, there’s a free game you need to check out.

CrowmanAndWolfboyThat game is Crowman & Wolfboyand if you missed the initial iOS release (celebrated by a one-day sale on the 18th, rendering the game free for the quick), you still don’t have to actually pay for the game. You can pick it up for free any time as long as you pick it up from the Google Play store.

cosmochoria1If “free” isn’t your style, though, you’ll soon have the opportunity to pay for a game that isn’t even finished yet! We’ve already taken a brief look at Cosmochoria, but since we last saw it, it’s developed quite a bit, and on September 29th, you’ll be able to discover it all, one pet, weapon, and planet at a time. Also, you’re naked. It’s a good game.

And since we’re in the business of doling out the good news, I have some that’s specifically great for backers of ShadowgateYou’re all getting a copy of the game! Even if you didn’t back at a high enough tier for a Steam key, you’ll still be getting one, and all backers can contact the devs if you haven’t gotten your copy yet. Didn’t back? Check out our review of it and see if you’d like to pick it up yourself!!

ParadiseLost1Paradise Losta great looking game where you play as an alien plant, has been getting quite the overhaul. Everything from asset rotation to authenticity research has been implemented, and the new enemy aiming system will prove to provide a more realistic and immersive foe. This is one of the most exciting titles on Kickstarter, so go check it out!

Now, some quick progress reports on the games you’ve been waiting for! There Came an Echo is officially in alpha, but due to a devotion to quality and integrity, the alpha will not be sold or released. The Light of Darkness is coming along very well, with a new build, new footage quality, and the ability to run in 1080p at 60fps. You can check out the update with the footage right hereThe Diviner is taking a little longer than expected, but while you wait for it, you can buy yourself a copy of the recently-released Max Gentlemen

jennyleclue1We’ve extensively covered Jenny LeClue Detectivu in the past here on Cliqist, including previews, announcements, and even putting the reader in Jenny’s shoes. What can I say? We’ve been over the top excited about this Kickstarter campaign. On August 21, Jenny LeClue’s was funded 162% and Greenlit on Steam. After a brief recoup period, the Mografi team will be hopping right back into development. For those who missed the campaign, copies will be available though the Humble Bundle.

That’s all the news that’s fit to print! Like us, Tweet us, share us, and build a solid golden shrine specifically to honor me. See you next Sunday!
