If you were dreaming of a white Christmas, dream on. Bloody hack and slasher Slain! is set to release on PC the 9th of December, 2015, ensuring there’ll be plenty of crimson to go around this festive season.
PS4 and Xbox One players, however, will have to wait until the first quarter of 2016 to get their hands on the game, as will handheld gamers on the Vita.
Created by Wolf Brew Games, Slain! is an homage to the violent video games of the 80s and 90s. 1,013 backers managed to raise $19,395 for the project, which went on to earn Kickstarter’s Staff Pick.
The title features a beautiful art style that fuses a detailed dark fantasy aesthetic with a retro style. Regardless of how the gameplay turns out, it’s sure to be a pleasure to look at, buckets of gore and all.
