Ashley got her start playing medieval fantasy RPGs on her father's old PC and they quickly became her favourite genre. Games like the Dragon Age and Elder Scrolls series helped cement her infatuation with video game lore. She is a sucker for a good in-game story but can appreciate a good platformer or mindless hack-and-slash when the mood suits her. When Ashley isn't writing about games or playing them, she spends her time suffering through the great Canadian winters of Ontario and complaining about it on Twitter. As a would-be should-be university student, Ashley has taken a year to experience life and work in her preferred field - video game journalism.
